The Ph.D. is the highest degree attainable. In Educational Administration, it is a terminal degree that allows an administrative professional to move to the next level of career success. This is a research degree requiring course work, a comprehensive examination, and a written dissertation exhibiting original scholarship.

Students normally take a minimum of 45 hours of course work prior to taking their comprehensive exams. Within their Ph.D. program of study, a student may explore a concentration such as law, finance, curriculum, or organization development that coincides with personal career goals and interests.

The Ph.D. degree prospectus is individually designed by the student and an Advisory Committee of at least three approved faculty members.
