Professor Emerita and founder of the Center for School Personnel Relations, Dr. Pat Eva Crisci retired as an active faculty member of Kent State University in January 1993.  Since that time, she has been teaching, advising students, serving on dissertation committees and providing other services to the University.  In lieu of remuneration for her services, Dr. Crisci has requested that funds be set aside for a scholarship award for a student in educational administration.

After holding several administrative positions within the public school system in Ohio, Dr. Crisci was appointed assistant superintendent of Public Instruction for the state of Ohio.  In 1979, she joined the faculty in the Department of Educational Administration at Kent as the first female member of the department.  Other firsts in Dr. Crisci's career include being the first woman appointed to a superintendency in an Ohio city school district and the first female inducted into the Kent State University chapter of Phi Delta Kappa.  While at Kent, Dr. Crisci was instrumental in generating more than two million dollars in grants, contracts, and other contributions to support the work of the center she established.

Dr. Crisci has received numerous awards, including one from the Kent Alumni Association, and the President's Medal from Dr. Carol A. Cartwright for being "an extraordinary teacher, mentor and scholar in the field of educational administration."
