GUIDELINES FOR PREPARATION OF THESES AND DISSERTATIONS Effective Summer 2009
“The Guidelines for Preparation of Theses and Dissertations are designed to assist students and typists to maintain the high degree of accuracy and consistency which are hallmarks of well-written documents. Prior to the thesis/dissertation process, students should familiarize themselves with the procedures described in the guidelines. It is assumed that the guidelines will be used in conjunction with the approved style guide.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
Beginning spring semester 2010, all theses and dissertations will shift to the recently released American Psychological Association, 6th ed. as their reference guide. A list of deadline dates for items such as graduation, oral defense of dissertation, oral defense of thesis, withdraw and exit from current semester, etc. Also, dates of when the semester begins and ends, graduation commencement ceremony, and dates for when the University is closed due to holidays.
