My areas of research interest and specialization are in language/communication disabilities in infants through adolescents, assistive technology, and clinician preparation and training issues in speech language pathology. Courses taught include:  Language Disorders in Children and Adolescents (undergraduate), Language Assessment and Intervention in Early Childhood, Communication Modalities and Assistive Technology, and Critical Topics in Speech Language Pathology. I have held professional positions as a clinician, consultant, administrator, and university faculty, and bring a great deal of professional clinical experience to my role as a faculty member at KSU. I graduated from Ohio State with my Bachelor's and Master's degrees, and from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with my Ph.D.

When I enrolled as a freshman at Ohio State, I already knew I wanted to be a speech language pathologist, and I've never swayed from that original intention or regretted that choice. Speech language pathology is a rewarding  profession, and I enjoy being able to support and challenge students to achieve their best as they move toward becoming fully qualified speech language pathologists.
